With J.J. Abrams currently cooking up something for "Star Wars: Episode VII" nerdy minds the world over just can't help but linger in a galaxy far, far away all the live-long day. But it wasn't too long ago that the George Lucas faithful experienced this exact same sense of revival, as the Force creator himself wrote and helmed three new installments to his space franchise at the turn of millennium, answering once and for all what the what happened before "Episode IV" (a.k.a. the first one).

Lucas' prequels didn't resonate with his audience quite the same way the first trilogy did, however, so the fanfare surrounding his prequelogy died down quite a bit over the years. In fact, it's kinda bandwagon-y now to hate on the second round of "Star Wars," and one guy who's jumped right on board with that opinion is the original Darth Vader actor himself.

His name is Dave Prowse — James Earl Jones was the dubbed voice for the role, much to Prowse's surprise at the first premiere — and he has boldly spoken up about the fact that he thinks the follow-up threefer were just "really bad movies."

"I didn't like 'Star Wars I, I and III' at all," he told Britain's Hull Daily Mail. "There's no comparison with the original movies. They had a much more believable story."

Well, tell us how you really feel, Darth!

Could we be smelling a few sour grapes here over the fact the he wasn't cast in "Episodes I, II and III"? Maybe, just maybe, especially since he's totally vetting himself for a new day in the Starry sky by way of Abrams' new take on all the intergalactic battling.

"Unfortunately, Darth Vader was killed off. But it would be nice to come back and do another character because no one's ever seen my face. I was never unmasked," he offered.

Surely Lucas'll jump right on phoning in that cameo favor to J.J. Abrams after all of Mr. Prowse's kind words here.
